Thanks for keeping this site alive. Just returned from using my M8 (bought new in 2007) in England. Very happy with results. Also used Nikon FE with film. Good pictures from both.

There something about the black and white pictures this camera delivers that brings me coming back. Bought a m240 a year ago, but it is not the same.

I'm back...
Test shot with a new (to me) black M8 and CV 28mm 3.5 - jpeg straight out of the camera.
It's a bit of a beater but no dead pixels. Came to me with coffee stain that seems to have disappeared....(not that it matters!).
I'll post some better images later.

Thanks for photos. Still love my M8,especially for B&W but your color shots show what
This much maligned M can do. It is a good companion to my newer CL which I also
Love.

Got an M8 in a trade and trying some IR photography. Still very new to the whole thing, but at least I got some results...

Got my old 2007 black M8 back from Leica. All three electro boards where replaced. Main board was toasted.
Glad to have it back in my hands. That Kodak CCD sensor is so special. This 12 year old camera still makes me happy.
