Has anyone had problems charging their batteries with the old M8 battery charger? Mine doesn't seem to be charging the batteries at all, or at most up to one blob. Anyone have any suggestions or similar experiences?

Batteries have a limited lifespan. After three to five years they are run down.

Also, you may want to make sure your battery charge is dispersed completely and before recharge. This can remedy some related problems (though not one that I have on one Leica battery). To do so, you can just leave your camera turned on--but you would then need to turn off the automatic shutdown.

It's likely this. Your battery is probably dead. They only have a few hundred charge cycles before they go.

With the battery that came with with my M8 I had that problem too. It'd go from three bars to ploppp... dead. Bought two new batteries and have no problems since then.

if charger is broken, consider something like eBay 190669462355. much smaller than hideous original charger.

Hi, the charger is a relative simple circuitry, donñt think it maybe broken, but try testing it with some tool for that purpose.
The batteries do get exhausted, but not from one day to the other so if charging became a problem in a short period of time the cahrger may have some trouble, perhaps a wire disconected or unsoldered due to a hit or something else.
