Hello guys,
Got a problem with my M8. The shutter speed dial is stuck and the on/off switch is really hard to turn.
The on/off switch has been like this for a little while, but the shutter speed dial problem is new.
I really don't want to force the shutter speed dial as I might break something but the on/off switch loosens up after some use.
Anyone had any experience with this or got any idea why this has happened?
Except from using the camera a few weeks in Thailand recently it has basically been sitting in my cupboard in the last few months.

M8 on/off switch is a bit stiff, it seems to be worse in wet weather. No problem with speed dial I'm glad to say.

I had something similar with my M8 in 2010. It would be worse in cold weather but absolutely fine in hot (30C+) weather. I sent it to Leica and they sorted it.
Coincidently, I have the same problem with the mode/drive dial on my GF1 - but I won't be shelling out to send that to Panasonic - it stays in one place all the time anyway.
Good luck, report back how it goes, I forgot to ask Leica what they actually did (although the shutter dial was new when I got the camera back).
