As others have posted, I'd agree with some form of padding and keeping the wet out. However, "zip-locks" are not that re-usable and too much padding adds bulk to your payload.usm said:Hi!
Whitch case or bag would you use for the M8 to go skiing with it?
Thanx

In a rucksack, I'd suggest two nylon draw-string bags of 1 liter volume of different color: one color for the camera and fitted lens, the other color for an additional lens and sundry.... the nylon makes it easy to pull from other items in the sack, and is reasonably protective to snow yet permits "breathing"/air so the kit will be acclimatized. As for padding, Domke markets hook-n-loop adjustable "lens wraps" that I've used for both camera and lens... and in a few colors so you can identify the 50 from the 25 lens 😉... keeping the wrap fit to the object(ive) is key.
You may fall, but you know that, thus the padded wraps. While engaged in skiing or hiking, the next issue is "Where is...?" and that's what the nylon colored bags and wraps are intended: identifying. Too many "photog" bags are overly large to acomodate their mandate to "organize".
Enjoy your trip... and be sure to leave the camera at least some of the time, so you can simply enjoy the skiing!
rgds,
Dave
