M8 with Olympus FL36 flash ?

Does anyone know if the Olympus FL 36 flash will work with the Leica M8?

Hi Peter,

I have taken several photos with my FL36 flash on my M8 with no problems.

The flash has to be set to the 35mm setting and on Auto mode. Set the shutter speed 250th or less and aperture set to that of the camera. The flashgun meters the flash, not the camera.

Fill flash isn't as simple as it would be with a dedicated flashgun.

Hello Robert,
Thanks for the reply, in the meantime I bought a Leica SF 24 of Ebay
and I intend to get a "SFILL" as a diffuser from Leicagoodies.
I'll have to experiment with that setup.
