My favourite lens was the old, original 35mm f1.4 Aspherical. After I bought the M8 I found I was using 28mm, a FL I had not got on with before, so I got the 28mm f2. I also bought the WATE.
I already had some CV lenses, all of which i like except the 50mm f1.5.
Never tried any of the Zeiss alternatives!

I had a few Leica lenses prior to the M8, and also some VC and a couple of ZM ones. Since the M8, I picked up a used 1.4/35 Nokton and a new 4.5/21 Biogon both with 6-bit encoding. Still, the most generally useful and my favorite lens for the M8 is the 28mm Summicron.
