A actress, Audrey Tautou, hot, is taking a picture with what looks like a M9, it could be a 8. The interesting part to me is when she reviews the photo, shot from a long distance, about ½ mile, she zooms the viewer and comes up with what looks like a portrait. The lens looks like a noctilux.
This brings up a subject that I have been doing for many years. That is using a 50 mm Leica lens to crop long shots.
The advantage is for me, is getting telephoto shots without lugging around long zoom lens. This is one of the benefits when using Leica glass.
The M8 part starts at 1.45 minutes into the video. Bill

I can just see this as another argument that a Leica is an accessory.

I don't want to imagine how a dSLR would look in her hands.
Jean-Pierre Jeunet's cinematography is amazing as always.

silliest shot was the silhouette of the perfume bottle flashing through the room.

Sheesh, I wear No. 5 and have an M8 and did Chanel call me? I guess my CV glass isn't classy enough. ;^)

The best camera is one that still works!
She makes the M8 look like quite a big camera ... artsy ad alright ... beautiful colours!
I think I might have to start wearing Chanel No 5

Believe it or not, Audrey Tautou is actually a real-life Leica user. She has a tradition of taking a photograph of every journalist who interviews her. The story is that a producer or director handed her a Leica a few years ago. She tried it, liked it, and got one for herself.

The director states in the making-of video that Chanel gave him total freedom with the project, and that he chose Audrey Tautou himself as they had worked in two films together (which share the same aesthetic): Amélie and A Very Long Engagement.
