Two German friends, now American, Axel and Uschi. Just plain nice folks, and she makes killer German Potato Sald. The M9 + the venerable '43 CZJ f/1.5 Sonnar @ f/1.5

I have an M9, sensor and circuit board Leica replaced. I like it a lot for all the known reasons. The one stumbling block now is batteries. Current users may want to stock up on the Chinese clones. I have about a dozen and they work fine. They work in the M8.2 also. Two cameras with nice images as I keep seeing on this thread.

@brusby, nice work with the W-Nikkor 35/2.5 on the M9. This combo play impressively well with each other. A couple from my W-Nikkor 35/2.5 on the M9:

Thanks, nice pics. And yes, the W-Nikkor 35/2.5 is a wonderful little lens that works beautifully on the M9. Great image quality and super portable size - particularly the LTM version - are making it my frequent choice for a carry 'round except in those rare instances I'm needing something faster. In fact, I like it so much 'just picked up another clean copy.@brusby, nice work with the W-Nikkor 35/2.5 on the M9. This combo play impressively well with each other. There are some very nice examples of photos taken with this lens in the Flickr forum devoted to it, especially some dramatic architectural and landscape shots.

Post your pictures shot with this rangefinder legend, in any mount, i.e. Nikon RF, Leica thread mount or adapted through any adapter.

I tend to drift away from the M9 despite it being such a nice camera. I keep saying over and over again it is because I preferred Agfachrome to Kodachrome. But I also follow Matt Osborne on YT and he is a big M9 fan for the skin tones, even in mono.
I had a visit from some folks from Seattle and took some M9 pics of them. They are a nice couple and the skin tones are good. Not real, a little different but in in a nice way. I understand the degree that photographers like those tones. It is that little extra something, turning it up to 11. These are just two ordinary pics of two just ordinary folks but I post them for the skin tones. To remind me of the magic of the CCD M9. These were shot with the '43 CZJ 5cm f/1.5. Yes, Axel knew well CZJ and quizzed me about the pedigree of the lens. And while he never came right out and said it I am sure he was pleased I was doing the job with classic all-German gear. Wir sind so.
