I did not read any review. I just looked at the images. Of course, web images are not the best files for judging the quality of the image.

just his comments having used a pre-production unit since June.
Some good info. - seems the lens 'Manual' entry lets you use any lens in the table without needing coding.
What is gone from the M8 is the ability to detect the lens (via coding) but to specify whether you had a uv/ir filter on or off.

Exactly! Someone was complaining that the 35/1.4 ASPH was vignetting on the M9. Well, it vignettes on my MP too!Vignetting is just part of a lens' charm anyway. No need to "correct" it.

Yes, many of them are quite interesting. Personally I like the landscapes.
