Pre-scratched and pre-worn, for that "authentic" foreign correspondent look.

AT $2446 it is not over priced, but it sure seems contrived in the "I am an old timey camera" category. But who knows, could be real.

I utterly dislike that look. Senselessly damaged, ugly and tasteless. Ready for the trash (or a top plate replacement).

It must be from the ridiculous " relic" school of finish that is an optional extra $ these days on electric guitars.

Totally believable. This thing obviously lived through the Vietnam War.

Lennyfied M9 :D :D

EDIT: selling that camera is no asset to Leicashop's credibility IMHO...

As stated in the listing, it WAS deliberately --ahem -- "antiqued" for want of a better word.
Also -- the wear is "even" and shows wear in places that would not normally become worn.
What's up with all this garbage?
Ugh.

I have seen another vandalized like this. Similar should have been with faces who did this.

It's certainly unique, so it has that going for it. Easily remedied w/ a little sanding, a can of black spray paint, and some judicious taping and masking. Having just finished painting my entire place, a little job like this would be more like a vacation.
