It seems the M9 is a runaway success for Leica (how many stories are we hearing about long waits for the camera, good reviews, Production going full Tilt at Leica, etc,,). Those of us who own M lenses, some of which are decades old, have seen their value go up significantly. So is the M9 the camera that remade Leica into a serious contender on the digital camera market? My guess is that it seems so. I have read stories regarding pros who are dumping DSLR,s for the M9. I would be interested to read more on pros who still intend to keep their DSLR's, but want the M9 for it's small size and unique characteristics . I remember the old days when photojournalists had a few Nikons around their neck with a Leica M hung on their sholder. Could we see this again? Are Leicas great sales numbers on the M9 telling us something?
