Fantastic photos, Leicashot - I only wish my best photos could rise to your level of "meh" !
I also love this low contrast look at maximum aperture (seems a bit like the Zeiss 50mm 1,5 Sonnar - and THEY get away with using a similar look as a unique selling point).
I especially loved the rendering of tonal contrast on the skin of the boy in the last few photos - so smooth and beautiful.
From the looks of things the new version is a lot contrastier ands sharper at maximum aperture, but a little more "nervous" and less creamy in the bokeh dept.

I have the 35/1.2 and a Jupiter 3 (50/1.5 sonnar) for low light work.
For travel, I take a 40/2 because it is smaller, lighter, and better for colour shots.
I love all 3 of these lenses, but for different things.
