I actually figured out why the calibration went wrong. I forgot go turn off the "auto-brightness" setting so when I turned off the lights in the room for calibration the screen went dim. Did another calibration and now everything looks fine.

I just got a new MacBook Pro with the anti-glare screen. I definitely prefer it to the glossy screen, though the tidge smaller text is annoying.
