Thanks for your kind comment Mike :)

Beautiful images, Marc and Gabriel. I also recall another of Marc's, taken of his wife looking at their daughter, that I thought was pretty magical, too.

Thanks a lot :) About the other picture, you must think of the following one:

Any new models (a.k.a. recent arrivals) at your house? New picture opportunities, perchance?

So you remember :) Yes, a little boy born last friday! When I have a decent picture (that is not taken with my old digital P&S), I'll post it.

Absolutely wonderful portrait! Great expression. Great light on the subject. Beautiful soft boke in the darker background. One of the best candid portraits I've seen here!. Can't wait till my very own summitar arrives.

Yep, that's the one, Marc. A beautiful picture, in which your Summitar captures the warmth of expression and emotion in the subject. :)

And CONGRATULATIONS on the birth of your son! Surely time to get out the Summitar and post some pictures (once you get some sleep).:D

Great swirling boke indeed. Excellent composition. Like a planetary system, evrything rotates around your daughter! BTW, congratulations with your newborn!! Regards, Huub

Great pics from the Summitar!

And Marc, from me also congratulations and best wishes to the proud parents!

Best regards,
Uwe

I absolutely love my Summitar. I can't see myself ever getting rid of it.

That bokeh is swirly!

It looks like what I get wide open with the Luxon 50/2. I have never used the Summitar wide open before.

Thanks, Mike. :)

Last weekend, motivated by this thread, I took my Summitar for a ride. I didn't take many photos, but some turned out OK.

It indeed has that unique look (this is also "wide-open"):
