If you took 100 photographers on this forum and let them loose I would say that 10 could do a better job.

But none out of that 10 will be "confident" enough to get as close as the 28mm demands and then fire of a flash right into the face of their victim (Yakuza!). 🙂

..and that is essential to get the results that Gilden gets.

I must admit that I like those results.. 🙄

For me that was Requiem in Samba, since I have friends from Bahia and will travel there hopefully for next years carnaval.

Wasn't this the photo essay that has sparked alot of coversation because of Majoli's use of a equipment?

Not the way he was taking his pictures but the camera's he was using ... the Olympus 5050

I read on photo.net someone saying about this site that some of the magnum photographers had issues with it? Not totally sure why
