Does anybody have (or has read) 'Magnum Stories'.

There are no local bookshops so I'll need to get it from Amazon and would appreciate any comments from people who already have it.

It is a collection of members' personal accounts on the matter of photojournalistic storytelling. Individual approach and stance of each of them expressed in words on a fold or two, and illustraded with selected photo story.

Great book if you are interested in individual insights of some of world's best photojournalists on their trade and motivations. Not much in terms of gear talk. Illustrations are as good as you would expect them.

Thank you, it sounds ideal.

It was my Christmas present before last and it's an excellent book, partly because the stories are so diverse. It features all the well-known Magnum people, plus a few new to me, and each of them tells their story in a very different way. (They have Capa too, via an extract from Slightly Out Of Focus). Some of them are more technical, some of them talk purely about how they relate to their subject matter, some of them talk about how they got a job. The repro quality and design is excellent; the only problem I've found with it is it's such a mammoth tome that it's not too handy for a sustained, relaxed read.

I also have and enjoy this book.
I use it as a resource to dip into from time to time to see how different photographers addressed various subjects and moments in history.
