Mamiya 6 battery drain

White dot to red.... is OFF ? (not on?) Getting conflicting advice! Can someone confirm please? Batteries not lasting.... has been tested and ' within tolerance' battery drain.....

From the manual:

"... 1. Power can be turned on/off with the
small lever beside the shutter release button.
(ON) Align the white dot on the lever with
the white dot on the camera body.
(OFF) Align the white dot on the lever with
the red dot on the camera body"

Kept off, Mamiya 6 has very little to no battery drain. I have 4 bodies and the batteries last for years.
