mamiya 6 meter problem

My mamiya 6 meter is acting up.

It will give a proper reading but then suddenly start flashing on Low Light, only the lighting in the scene hasn't changed. It was happing sporadically before, but its getting worse. I thought it was the battery but I changed that not that long ago and haven't been using it that much. Anybody else had this problem before? How long do the batteries last?

Try cleaning all the contacts with a pencil eraser. Battery chamber and lens contacts.
