Mamiya 7 lightmeter broken

Hello
I acquired a Mamiya 7 with a broken lightmeter and im
wondering where can i get it fixed and what is the approx. price.

The local camera repairman said that the whole unit in the camera has to be replaced.
No idea how it got broken.

Mamiya should be able to help out with this. Give them an email or a call.

Before going that route, decide whether you want a fixed spot meter in your camera or you want a different pattern.

I like using the voigtlander shoe mounted light meter with my Mamiya 7, and it has a "working" meter. I honestly never got a good feeling with the built-in meter. (I use a handheld spotmeter for large format, but prefer center weighted for handheld).
