Hi everyone!
I just bought a used Mamiya 7 is great condition. It came with the 80mm lens. I am a little worries because the lens had a definite rattle to it. Almost like there is something very small moving about in it. Should i be worried. It appears to function perfectly. A friend mentioned it may be a moving part to the leaf shutter.
Again its minor (but def not a firmament of my imagination) so i just want to make sure there is nothing seriously wrong with it before the return ability expires.
Thanks for the help.
ps the noise is equally noisy with the lens on the body and off. The first 2 rolls are at the lab now.

I can hear a very teeny-tiny rattle in mine. Unless it's loud, I wouldn't worry about it, as long as the rolls turn out OK

My Mamiya-Sekor 90mm F/3.5 had a loose screw inside that held the front element together with the filter holder. The danger was that screw could go inside and jam the shutter. So, it is a thing worth looking into! I would definitively invest in servicing that lens!

Mine does the same thing, but the noise gets a little quiter, when the lens is on the body. Somebody told me it´s normal, so i never thought of it as a problem. The pictures it takes are amazing are nothing short of amazing and mechanical rigidity isn´t exactly the strong point about the Mamiya 7 system anyway.
