Mine took a fall, resulting in a cracked rangefinder window (front piece of glass) and misaligned rangefinder. I took it to a well-regarded Japanese camera repair specialist here in NYC in early October and they quoted me to replace the entire upper assembly since just the rangefinder glass is not available/replaceable. I am still waiting on the repair. They say the parts are available but take a long time to get because they are coming from Japan.
Does anybody have concrete information about US distribution for parts for legacy Mamiya cameras? Is there a known issue with the supply chain? I understand that for the repair shop deals with the distributor, who then has to go to Mamiya directly and this takes some time, but is two months' wait a bit excessive?

Your asking a rangefinder forum about 2 months being too much. People wait sometimes over a year to get they’re repairs back..

Going on 3 months but I'm not in a hurry.
DAG had a Canon 50mm f/.95 lens for M conversion for two years. Best conversion I've seen for that lens, but two years

If it's really just the front glass, are you sure you want to leave this with people who charge you for a huge repair and bringing in parts form Japan instead of just making one from a sheet of appropriate glass?

I had not considered fabricating the glass myself. I might be able to pull off cutting the glass, but installing it is probably beyond my expertise. I'll try Bob at Precision.
Thanks for your replies.
