Mamiya Lens Problem

So the battery died on my Mamiya 645, I've replaced it but now that every thing looks to be working right I noticed a problem with my 80mm f2.8 lens. The F-stop moves and works just fine, but I don't see the diafram physically open or shut. I've tried seeing if it works with shutter depressed, but again no changes from wide open. Time to replace? or it their a quick fix to this?

Is the "M" - "A" switch set correctly...???

With the switch set to "M" you should be able to open and close the aperture blades and see them change when you do it...
With it set to "A" nothing will happen when you turn the aperture ring until you push down on the lever on the back side of the lens...
Do this with the lens off the camera...looking at the rear element...

My 80mm f/2.8 Sekor-C got sticky blades a couple years ago. I can put it in M and open and close it rapidly a couple times to loosen them up, and then they work until it sits for a while. I imagine the real fix is neither cheap nor easy.

Ya, it looks like the sticking together.
No luck with the Auto or Manual mode either.

On the good side, replacing this lens is dang cheap.
