Hi Folks,

I just got a Nikon 35Ti and am excited to shoot a test roll, but am already missing having the manual. For example, it took me a while to figure out that it doesn't load the film when you close the camera and turn it on, but have to press the shutter button halfway down. I still don't get the flash on/off buttons on the lower left front, as pressing them doesn't change any indicators anywhere. Does anyone have a source for a pdf of the manual? Any tips or suggestions for customizing the camera? One thing I did find online, and intend to do, is remove the panoramic frame lines, as that is gimmicky and not something I ever plan to use. Thanks.....John.

Check the Nikon official US site. In the section called Nikon Mall (which you find after clicking a tab on the official site), they sell Nikon catalogs. The one for the 35ti is for sale at, I believe, $10.

I got mine off eBay, which is another source of catalogs.

Have fun shooting with this little gem! :)

Thanks for the link. The stated cost is $7, but it also shows the item temporarily unavailable. D'oh! I'm looking forward to viewing your Barcelona pictures, by the way, because my wife is going there in early September. --John

Darn! I checked them out last week and they still had them. Time to hit eBay, I fear...

BCN is a beautiful town. You should go in September because it's the most beautiful time to see the city.

Francisco, actually I made a mistake and looked at the wrong thing. The manuals are still available. I liked your Barcelona pictures, and glad to see you shooting with Scala, my favorite film. I just ordered a 10-pack from a guy in Germany for about $6 a roll, and you know Main Photo in CA still processes it for $10 per roll.

sooner, I had no luck finding a manual fo rmy 35Ti when I got it. Did mange to find out hwo to set the custom settings for flash, metering etc from a page like this one.

It hows the settings for all the custom modes. A bit fiddly to do but I managed it. I have the flash disabled and only use the button on the edge when it's needed. Having said that I've just put mine up for sale in the classifieds. Super lens though.
