Manupulation is not sign of digital workflow

Just saw interesting material on how pictures were heavily manipulated well before any could even think of digital cameras.

I think the most famous example is of Beria and Stalin. When Beria fell into disgrace and got himself executed (the irony of it, he who did most of Stalin's dirty work) he got erased from Soviet history altogether. Pictures retouched, history books and other documents rewritten, the full works. Stalin was maniac paranoid psychopath, but he was thorough.
