Mapping the Freestyle Discount Films

theres a seller on Amazon called Kellards, that sells the arista 400 iso 36 exposure roll for 10.99 plus tax and shipping.
I pretty much have enough film to last the rest of my life and haven’t looked at prices in a while. $11 is about 400% more than it was 11 or 12 years ago.

I keep a little collection of film that’s discontinued and quite a few of the rolls have price tags. It’s shocking to look at what we were paying in the 60’s and 70’s but then again our wages were much lower.

In the 50’s and 60’s when I really got interested in photography, I paid 26 cents roll for imported 120 B&W. It was just loose rolls with no box or instructions. They were wrapped in foil and it was up to you to figure out processing which was no problem. I think a roll of Verichrome Pan 120 was around 60 cents which was pretty expensive considering a gallon of gasoline was 27 cents per gallon and a fresh turkey or chicken was 25 cents a pound and sometimes less.

Sounds like Arista might be shifting from Fomapan to Kentmere or some such? Curious about users' experiences with the new Aristapan 100, since it's cheap. I'd love to find the current deal Freestyle is offering on Aristapan without their rather expensive shipping costs.

shpping sucks all over. But what hurts most is when sellers charge you for a higher level of shipping then you actually get.
