MARCH/APRIL ... FOURTEEN DAY ONE CAMERA ONE LENS CHALLENGE ... the start!

I just joined here, and this looks like a good way to begin my time here.

I need to give my RB some love. So a Mamiya RB67 with 127mm 3.8 non C for me.

Great way to get your exercise while you shoot! Seriously though, the RB67 can produce some really amazing images. Ever shoot it off the tripod?

Are we on?

Are we on?

OK, I've decided. M4 with Canon 50/1.2.

Cool, we can have a personal shoot out at the same time if you like!

I'd like to use my M5 with the M-Hexanon 50/1.2.

't Will be interesting to see whether the M-Hexanon will be up against the sweet spot in your Canon lens. I used to have a Canon and stil regret selling it.

"I have only one body and only one lens, so let it be ... M6/50 1.4 4th version"
Hey! Foul! Foul! ilia won't have any voices in the back of his head saying, "Moron! You brought the wrong lens! And what were you thinking choosing this body? Are you daft?! 🙁 " He'll be entirely concentrated on capturing the image rather than putzing/second-guessing/sweating over gear. It's a definate unfair advantage. 😎

My Leica.III w/Orion is the gear of choice for me.

Yes I do. I really hate when people say it can only be shot on a tripod because it's so big. With a strap it's really not that bad. Yeah it's heavy, but you know that, and you don't complain because that is the sacrifice you make when you decide to do it. Some people shot with it only on a tripod, but some of them need to stop telling others that it can't be used in other ways.

I carried it around Chicago for a day with the metered chimney finder (probably 10 lbs now) and without a strap. My arms got a workout, but it was worth it. I got some awesome photos on huge negatives. I bring a tripod when I can, but if I can't no big deal. I use it when I want to, and I try to overcome it's limitations. I have been bringing it to sporting events (basketball and gymnastics), shooting with longer than normal shutter speeds for sports, because I wanted to. I am going to process the negatives today, hopefully I have captured some nice motion.

Sorry about the long post. It really bothers me when people say it can't or shouldn't be done.

P.S. I am not a huge guy. I'm actually really skinny.

I hope you didn't think i was insinuating that it couldn't or shouldn't be done, quite to the contrary in fact. I am quite impressed by people who handhold it. Those sports shots sound quite interesting, good luck with em!

I didn't think you were insinuating that. I just wanted to share how I felt about. I look forward to seeing your photos the next time around.

I am going to use my M4P with Leica 50 f/1.4 pre-ASPH.

I think...maybe :bang:. Decisions, decisions, decisions. M4P for sure, but the lens could change.

I've never looked into the M-Hex, so that will be interesting. What I should do one day is shoot the Canon 50/1.2 alongside my Pentax 50/1.2 (SLR) lens. Cheers!

Hmmm. I washoping that this would start a bit later so I'd get my Oly 35RD back from repairs from John, but it looks like it's not gonna make it in time for this one. So, I have to make some descisions as to what to use. Maybe I'll try MF this time - Kiev 88 or Kowa Six. Maybe even a Welta Folder. But Hexar RF with 15mm Heliar seems very tempting as well.....

Finally figured out how to count the frames correctly on my Rolleicord I so despite it being older and crankier than me it deserves its chance to gobble up some HP5.

Choices, choices...

Choices, choices...

This sounds like lots of fun!

Hmmm... I'm out of town right now and only have my Olympus RC, Olympus Stylus Epic, and a Panasonic LX2. What to do? 😀

I wanted to use my Ansco Regent But after finishing off the roll of film I had in it so I can start fresh tomorrow.I discovered that it has a light leek somewhere. I'm not sure if it's from the back or front. So I guess I have until midnight to figure out what to use.

Got some good stuff on the roof of a nearby campus building today. No-longer-used astrophysics radar dishes and things. (Though it may not count, since it's a day early...)

I plan to use the same type of body, but am going more economical on the lens. I'll use an I61-LD. Film choice is still up in the air. I just picked up some Provia 100 from the developer lab. Gosh, I'm blown away. I have one more roll and may use that. However, I just shot my first roll of Ektar! a little while ago, and may use that. Yet, I find b/w so wonderful.
Maybe I'll know when I wake up tomorrow.
