True to say we should post new stuff here if possible, unless all those "March Nikon RF Month" threads will get coronavirused sooner or later.I suppose if we're posting repeats (...)
So : below, two from March 2020, both taken at dusk last week :

Nikon S2 "Black Dial" - Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 5cm f/2 T made in 1946 - Fomapan 100 - D76 1+1.
BTW, I used to like Fomapan 100 a lot, but all those from this pack are factory defective (nasty deep abrasions everywhere on the roll) so I will probably dump the few of them still laying in my fridge, and, for me, things will be as over with Foma because of their bad QC as what they now are with Kodak because of their prices...

Very nice. Do you see a shift in focus with the Sonnar? I was thinking about getting a 5cm Contax lens to put on a Nikon body but not sure how stopped down I need to use it at.

Indeed, I was supposed to be in Florida yesterday, today and tomorrow.... With my S2 happily loaded with film. I cancelled last minute!

Well, I use two Jena Sonnars on my Nikon RF bodies, both are f/2 Sonnars (one collapsible made in 1936, one in aluminum made in 1946), both focus perfectly at all distances, I opened them to f/2.8 so far (never used them at f/2), no problem detected even for portrait. Of course once stopped down they work perfect too, at all focusing distances.
In theory there is the Nikon-Contax focusing un-compatibility problem with 50mm lenses designed for one or the other system but at the end of the day you can never know, what you will end up with, it all depends on the stuff you will marry. If the lenses aren't absolutely perfectly collimated from factory, if the lens flange to film plane distance on the body has a bit of error too, the combination of those small errors can annihilate themselves so that everything's fine when you mount a Sonnar on your Nikon or a Nikkor on your Contax and start taking pictures. These little happy endings happen quite often it seems, so you can try this out and you'll see what it delivers.

I finally found a short window of time to get out to take photos last Saturday. Got two frames exposed before the rain returned, and have been too busy ever since. On days that the weather has cooperated I'm tied up with something, and by the time I can break free it has changed to the worse. But that's spring for you.
Still, now that everyone is supposed to shelter at home the only reason I venture out is to get groceries, but today I had to make a stop at the post office too. They can never get it straight when I have a stop put on my mail, which I did last week because of an upcoming trip to back home, but it got canceled and I took the hold off my delivery. Only they forgot to mark my sorting slot "Resume", so I haven't been getting any mail the last few days. I go through this every time, and it never seems to bother them.
Anyway, again the weather did not cooperate as I got wet going from the post office to the grocery. Maybe I'll get a chance tomorrow to sneak out for a bit since all my upcoming tests and procedures at the hospital have been put on hold, so that frees up Friday.

After one failed attempt to get a roll used up before things get really hairy (made two exposures then the rain started up again), I decided that since the Governor hasn't put the kibash on travel yet, I'd head out to re-shoot some places where I had camera mishaps and didn't get the pictures.
One place was because I had mis-loaded the S2, and the other was because the film transport on my Nikon Action Touch failed. But I'm sure I got the photos this time.
I figure that the trip was okay because the only reasons I got out of the vehicle were to take photos, and I didn't make any stops at the limited number of markets that were open. So no interactions with the populace, though I would have liked to ask some questions of the locals about the places I was at.
Now I just have to determine what lab I'll be shipping the film off to, as I've totally given up on the local place.
