Oh, perfect timing! I just loaded film into my Zorki.
And put black tape on the body to seal against light leaks.

I had an Iskra that I lent to someone many moons ago and they never returned it so not my worry any more! And yes ... all about that lens, just sensational but the stuff behind it can really tax your patience!

I have two Zenits (one brand new) and a Lubitel 166 (the top model that auto cocks the shutter).
The Lubitel is the only one that works correctly.

No, but it might take me a month to shoot the whole roll. If I start now, we'll see whatever is is I shoot on May 1 by about mid-month or so... LOL

I'll admit, I hammered once Minox 35, which was keep on falling electronically. I would clean it, it will works for a while and crap out. It was pleasure to buy it, but hammering it was the pleasure as well. Man, it took me a while to get it processed. Crappy electronics, yet, strong camera ... it was.
But as the son of ex-communist, I didn't hammered couple of FSU made cameras. I gently put them in the garbage bags. I was encouraged by the story of ex-professional FSU photographer who worked at central pressa in Moscow. He did trashed once the Kiev MF camera, straight to the garbage bin, after it crapped out in the middle of paid shot.
For commieday I have FED-2 (serviced by myself), Kiev-2 which I send for service in Kiev in 2016. And almighty Smena-8M (this thing just works).

Of course they sell old, expired FSU film on ebay. I think, I have seen it recently at RFF classifieds as well.
But if you want some pictures, better get on which is labeled as FSU one.

Well, I'm up to Frame 3 on my ol' Zorki... I've been concentrating on finishing rolls in my Rollei and Voigtlander cameras first, so its going to be awhile before we see anything in this thread from me...
