New York May NYC Meet-Up

When is Puck Fair set to close?
Do you think they will let us (RFF) take the round table and the lightbulb? :D

The word out from Emily and Nelly is that a definite timeline has not been established, but perhaps they might have a year left.

Well I think it's about time I came to one of these ..

Around how long do people usually hang around..? I probably wouldn't make it @ 1 on the dot.

Would be a pleasure to meet the NYC crew!

Stephen,

The Meet-Up starts at 1:00 PM and generally goes to about 5:00 PM. Everyone has a different turnout, and there is a group of regulars. This monthly event has been continuous for over 4 years except for one skipped month, but I seem to remember that we made up for that skipped month by having two events the following month to make up. Sometimes there's a surprise flash mob.

When the weather gets warm we have plans for other events like the Mermaid Parade and a Long Island City "Death March."

Hmmmm....vacation on some exotic island or Puck fair......that's a tough choice. Bon Voyage Klaus.

Will not be able to make it in May, my better half booked a week of vacation on some island:D.

Have a great time.

There will surely be a future GEAR ALERT in June. Hint a strange, odd, cool, freaky ultra-wide (21mm but not my Plaubel).

JMQ, please let us know the weekend that will work for you in June. We'd love to see you again... plus, we owe you some beers!

John, you do not owe me any beers! Would love to join you all at the June RFF meet. I'm open June 16 and 23. How about for others?

Jean-Marc,

Let's make the June Meet-Up on the 23rd. Officially its the summer. Save the date.

I'm going to also start another thread shortly. It seems that 5-Pontz in Long Island City will be gone shortly, and the time is now to document and record this Mecca for Graph-feet-tee art before it's gone. Before each monthly Sunday Meet-Up I will be doing a Saturday "Death March."

I feel that I have concentrated my shooting in Madhattan and the Bronx lately, and that Brooklyn and Queens needs to get it's fair share. Basically kill your legs on a Saturday walking perhaps 8-10 miles, and rest at Puck Fair on a Sunday.

Cal, count me in on the LIC shoot. Thanks!

....must have the fortitude to resist the call of the MM with you and Klaus.......

I'm still passionate about film, but the Monochrom is a real game-changer. John and I have been shooting twilights on the West Side after work chasing fleeting light. The Monochrom is clearly the best tool for the job. Now I can't live without it.

... mmh, yes indeed but it's not Madhatten Island where we will be having some sand between our toes :D.

In Madhattan more like broken glass in-between your toes. LOL.
Randal'/Wards Island is kinda nice though.

Since I live in East Harlem it's almost like my own private park complete with a mental institution for the criminally insane. Maggie and I were walking past there and we heard someone screaming like they were being tortured.
