I bought it at a local flea market for $5 and conversion to M-mount is $290

Cool... But nothing beats the Noctilux.

That's silly/crazy pricing. Fueled no doubt by the Noctilux price going through the roof. I saw a converted one go for < $1,000 late last year before the feeding frenzy for Noctilae and anything else faster than 1:1.4. The Konica 60/1.2 that one of our members got recently for < $2,000 makes more sense to me.

On the other hand, if you could turn the Canon lens into a recent 50/1.4 Summilux...hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Or use it and grin! I say use it and grin knowing what a bargain you got.
