I’ve posted this on RFF before - the poet Nikki Giovanni who passed away yesterday at age 81.

This was taken about 18 years ago at her home near Christiansburg, VA. Rollei 2.8E Planar with Ektachrome 400 that seemed to work better as a black and white image.

Finally got around to doing a better scan of this shot of Nikki Giovanni. Interesting how the years between working on a given photo can change your approach to it.

Rollei 2.8E Planar and Ektachrome 100 not 400 as I originally thought. Sheesh I must've had a steady hand!
