Sunbathing guitar shot with Rolleiflex 2.8C (many times used before I got into Leica's). Here in the Netherlands 120 film is quite hard to get and pricy.

Thanks for the link Rick, - new to me and should make it easier to get 'old' film: apparently it is spelled in Dutch so: www.fotofilmfabriek.nl
btw sold the Rollie sometime ago.....but still have that old rolleicord from my late uncle

Oops sorry about that
I've ordered 135 and 120 film from them several times. No problems at all.

No problem at all, thanks again. Scanning these old negs makes me wonder why I sold the Rolleiflex.....
Here's one that illustrates the shallow DOF when the lens is fully open:
(btw negative reads KODAK CP 100)

Really an outstanding thread. Recently I went through all it's 30something pages and it made me want a proper MF camera really badly. at least I picked up a holga for walkabout fun, but I think I have to start saving really hard for a nice SLR - but it will be hard decision which format..

to go cheap but still decent you can try buying a Ljubitel 166 on eBay
If you will still love it - you will know if you want a TLR or another option (like (maybe RF) folder or SLR) for MF
the bad thing about Ljubi is the focusing glass - it's not that bright and not too precise
the great part of Ljubi is - it's maybe the lightest TLR you will find
I started with one (and still hold one at home) and after a year with it decided to go for Yashica-Mat

hey folks, I just bought the hassy and lens that was on the classifieds. ANy suggestions for 120 films to try? And were to get them? I hear velvia is supposed to be great. I'll probably shoot a roll or two, but mostly I'm going to be using BW since I want to develop my own.
I'll be developing with rodinal and d76, that's it.

I'd get some Tri X while you can, if you can. Tmax is a great one with D 76. Ilford's Delta 100 and HP5+ are also good products in 120. Hope that helps.

You will have lots of answers, fireboy. I'm very happy with Fuji's 400 Neopan, developed in XTOL at 400 or 800. D76 should work fine, too.

thanks guys. Anybody try any of this stuff from Ultrafineonline.com? It's only $2.09/roll for 100 iso BW.
