My first foray into medium format. Bought a Zeiss Ikon Nettar on a flea market, cleaned it up and started shooting. I also got a Bessa I and an Agfa Isolette and am currently awaiting the results. I plan to wet print, but I like to digitalize for colour and slides as well. I looked at the options and decided to go with a 2nd hand Canoscan 9900f and see how far it takes me. So far, so good. These two had a bit of Photoshop after scanning. Shot on Kodak 400 C41 B&W (which I plan never to use again.)

I finally found an affordable Fuji 690 GW III. Sadly, it was a bittersweet purchase. The camera store I bought it at shutdown the day I bought it. The owner finally decided to retire. I got very lucky. The store had been ravaged by camera collectors from across Tokyo. There was very little left on the shelf. Luckily, this was hiding in a corner. He slashed the price by 1/3. I could not pass it up. I am so happy that I bought. I amazed by the detail this lens and format produces. Looking at the negatives is like looking at a post card printed photo. You can make out so much detail.

You're one step ahead of me, at least. I've got a backlog of almost a dozen rolls. Been too busy out and about to process.

I´ll post a couple of pictures of trees. Common to all is that the level of detail in these pictures negates putting them on the gallery here, they´d have to be scaled down to postage stamp size if I did:
Kowa Super 66, TMAX 100, Caffenol-C-H:
And another with the same kit, but managed to scrape in under the size limit.

Ezzie, your Kowa kit shows incredible sharpness. Dare I say 'blad-like?

Hi Jack. Yes I can. Its not mine as such, but you´ll understand when you read through the links. So, as not to hijack the thread:Caffenol-C-H? Wow... Fantastic... Care to share your formula?

And a thread I started here: http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=96673
Incidentally, all the pictures here were developed in Caffenol
Beware. Caffenol discussions have a tendency to become polarised, those who like to measure things up by the slightly topped spoon and the pinch, and those who adhere to strict measurements. Just let that go in one ear and out the other, and find what works for you. Send me a PM if your appetite has been wetted.

Thank you Paul. Yes, I´m amazed myself. The lenses are better than I thought they would be, sharp and yet not too contrasty. I dare say you are aware of the Kowa´s nicname then?

Ezzie , Johnmcd . . . . can I ask how you scanned your images? I am just starting out in MF (with a Fuji) and don't really have a plan or a wrokflow going yet. I will set up my own darkroom for B&W, but don't know how to get reasonable (for the web) digital scans.
Thanks for your time.
