Medium Format ... long may it live!

This double exposure fooled me at first, William--I thought she was outside and you had photographed her reflection, etc.
Then I realized the difference in scale; then the fact that it was a doubleX; and then I saw a latent profundity, in that behind all these curtained windows there may be a woman making herself beautiful--and this is that woman, the size of a goddess. So it is an unusually meaningful double exposure for me.

I hope I don't sink it with all that psychologizing. I enjoy your work: this one struck me in a different way.

honestly I did the shot .. simply because they fit visually in my mind ...

I take the building shot first for the sake of the shape and symmetry ...
then I change back to color .. shot other stuff..
Then I saw this woman ... calmly doing her nail .. sitting

Somehow I thought she would fit the first frame in the BW back...
