Is anyone else (outside Melbourne) having trouble buying b&w film? I couldn't find any XP2 or TriX in the city (Sydney) yesterday and Foto Riesel only had a couple of rolls of HP5 although they had a fair bit of Tmax. The pro lab I go to wasn't any better but I finally found some XP2 at a suburban lab. I hope this isn't an omen for the future 🙁.

Did a test of an Olympus MJUII yesterday - thought I'de just pick up a cheap color film for the test, so went into coles looking for their consumer kodak stuff - $9 for one roll of 24exp gold 400. They have to be ****ing kidding.

That's less than FP4 costs in the USA, where film is usually cheap compared to Australia!

i don't even bother buying film here in Brisbane. the place where i get my photos developed (Fotofast) seems to have its usual amount of b&w film in stalk, but the prices are so ridiculous that i doubt many people buy film from them. i order all of my film in batches online from B&H.
