This was a very interesting read. Thank you! I want that book, that is, in October, when it costs $40 in stead of $400.

fits the Leica user mold doesn't it? The same reason we saw Posh Spice using her Leica... On a serious note, this guitarist is actually a very good photog.

Check out this months American Photo. It shows Rock Stars turned photographers. Quite interesting. Mick Fleetwood photographed the band with a Canonet & Leica CL during the 70s. Neat.

IIRC, after the Police broke-up in the mid-80s, Summers released a book of photographs. These were not on-the-road images and shots of Sting, etc. They were "serious" black and white photographs that were really very good. I just searched on Amazon, but it didn't come up. edit: what does come up is the Summers collaboration with Ralph Gibson.

Melissa Auf Der Maur bass guitarist for Hole studied photography, and when on stage had cameras set up with triggers on stage and made photos while jamming. Now thats a cool chic.
