Sorry for a dumb question, but I can't remember what the ISO values are for the two dots between ISO200 and ISO400 on my R3A. The camera manual simply says 1/3 stops. I want to set the film at ISO320. Is that the dot nearer 400 or 200?

Thanks,
Gene

Gumby, Peter, thanks. It comes back to me now that you say it! I find Neopan 400 developed in Rodinal could use just a titch more shadow detail, so I want to try 320.

Isn't it funny (and sometimes embarassing) how that happens. Don't worry... it happens to all of us. For me, though, it seems to be happening more and more often!

Indeed. I have a non-scientific theory about this: as we age, the space of the gap between our synapses increases. As a result, it takes longer for the synapses to zap the gap, and worse, often the zap simply doesn't make it to the other side...

Chear up, Gene. Eventually you won't rember what the two f-stops were that you wanted to know what came between...or why you asked, or even why you even cared. Just buy yourself a camera old enough to have the shutter speeds maked 1,2,5,10,25,50,100,200,500 instead of 1,2,4,6,15,30,60,125,250,500 and get yourself really confused. Just for the record, the first progression includes nine shutter speeds from 1 to 500 while the "modern" one has ten.
