Hi All,

Just curious if anyone is using (or has used) the Metz 36-C2 with any of the digital M cameras (specifically the M(240) though..).

I'm looking at getting an appropriate flash for the camera. While I totally understand those that may say "just shoot it in 'available' light", if I do end up using this for weddings or portraits.. sometimes the light that is available is the one that you're carrying with you :D

So any input on the Metz 36-C2 or even the more spendy Leica SF-58 is appreciated.

Cheers,
Dave

If you do decide to go with an older flash be aware of the high voltage ouput which could damage your M240. A Wein Safe Sync is a good investment to open up a variety of inexpensive older flashes. Oops, shouda done my research first, thought you were refering to the older Metz flashes. If you're simply looking for a flash to use for occasional fill or to add extra light the 36 in auto mode will do just fine. If you want to spend the money for a lot more power, TTL and a much larger heavier flash but would provide greater capabilities over all then spring for the sf-58.
