I can't tell you how impressed I was with that Giants defence. They had Brady and the Pats wrapped up most of the night!

Miami was almost No 1 again this season. Not one to be proud of.
I remember the street parties in Hialeah when I was just a small kid.

I live in Miami and I didn't pay any attention to the 1972 game either. Heck, SOMEBODY has to pay some attention to the ladies while the guys gather, beer in hand, around the TV sets. Not an easy job, but I'm always willing to make the sacrifice. Right, girls?

Oh please -- the '72 Dolphins need to get a life. They had an easier schedule than New England in terms of winning percentage of their opponents, and they played two fewer games. They act as if they're the only ones entitled to have gone undefeated, and their attitude this year was frankly rather embarrassing. Talk about living in the past.
Hats off to the Giants; they played their plan to perfection. But the catch by Tyree (and Manning's avoiding the sack right before) was a play for the ages.

As a long term Pats fan I'm gutted (long term enough to remember when they stank so bad they were used as jokes in Hollywood movies!) but wow, what a game.
For the first time the Superbowl was on the BBC in the UK and I'm sure we got a few more converts to the game. Most exciting Superbowl ever? Think so! A play that is up there with the Immaculate Reception & "The Catch" in terms of NFL lore. The ultimate snatch victory from the jaws of defeat play and regardless of context one of the greatest catches I've ever seen. Have to say the better team won, we really wouldn't have deserved it as the Giants D played the best offense the NFL has ever seen* to a complete standstill. Sweet for Giants fans because I think they just outdid Namath's Jets in the ultimate underdog stakes. Going to be talking about this one in 40 years that's for sure...

What I remember about 1972 is that I had floor passes to both the Democratic and Republican presidential conventions which were both held in Miami Beach. I don't think they were ever both held in the same city either before or since. The best shots were of the anti-war protesters outside.

Another Miamian rooting for the Giants! Have to agree that this was well played. Even my 10 yr old daughter and 7 yr old son were interested (although my son didn't like my wife shouting at the TV). Loud cheers for the Giants saving the Dolphin's derriere historically.

Too bad Randy Moss.
Still a Loser.

Well. after all they are the ONLY ones to go the entire season undefeated including the Super Bowl. No team has done this since including the Patriots. 18-1. If they don't wear the ring when the playing is over it does not count.
I will admit that this year the Dolphins were probably the worst in history as well.
