Milt Hinton on PBS in the US

Thanks for the heads up. Great show and photos.
I thought I'd give your thread a bump in case it plays in a different time slot.
Hope they release the video.

Yeah, thanks for the bump.

I will post more links about Milt Hinton as I find them. I have been trying to figure out what kind of camera he used, since his earliest images predate SLR cameras.

Does anyone know?

Looked like he used an Argus C3 in the early years, a Nikon F2, and that other camera everyone is always talking about on this forum. 😀
A Leica something or other.
He used them all well.

I watched the program this morning @ 5:30 am got up to see it... The photos were amazing. The only photo of him that I caught what camera was a portrait with a slr nikon.
ther was a quich shot of him in the old days when they did the shot on the steps of all the great players of the time and I could not see what the camera was.

Check your local pbs listing here it will be on again at 4:00 am

I recently got ahold of some of Milt's photo gear and the Canon he used was this Canon VI-T. A rangefinder after his Leica and before he later switched to Nikon. He used the Canon one for about 12 years after getting it on a trip to Japan with Louis Armstrong.
