X100 really is a game changer whether we like it or not. Almost every serious photographer would eventually want of one these, or its similar competition.
Point fully taken about 'game changer', but for the highlighted portion, I don't think it's got much appeal to M9 owners. Yes, it's smaller and cheaper, but it also has a fixed, not-very-fast lens and an APS-C sensor. I'd quite like one, but I very strongly suspect that like every other camera I've ever considered as an alternative to my Leicas, it just wouldn't get used very much. I don't use my Retina IIa or my Rollei AF35M much as an alternative to film Leicas, and I'd be surprised if I used an X100 much as an alternative to the M9. Or even the M8.
