Minolta 35 Model II

Was at a group shoot this weekend and a guy had a Minolta 35 Model II. Looked like a high quality Leica III. Made in 1947-48. Now get this: it had engraved on the body: "Made in Occupied Japan". Kinda cool to see a rangefinder I never knew about. GEARHEAD!!🙂

Not sure about the model II specifically, but there were many, many Minolta 35's made. Of course they are rare as hens teeth to see on the street, but they are not rare. They are notorious for having failed shutters and damaged shutter curtains, but when serviced properly the do make fine shooting cameras - recommended in fact! They are also easy to load and in my opinion, friendly overall to use.
