minolta body lens confusion

Is there a Minolta body that goes higher than 1/1000 max shutter speed that can take this lens? Obviously I bought it to shoot it wide open

I have the 58mm F1.2 MC Rokkor lens. I have six SRT's so I always have slow, medium and high-speed film in a couple of them, to grab.
Or you can back film out mid-roll, and re-load the body. Multiple bodies are more convenient.

Have you considered using slower film in this SRT? Or ND filters?

My XK has 1/2000.

Thanks!! I'am thinking of trying Adox cms 20II. Goes down to ISO 5-12 so i should be able to shoot wide open in bright sunlight. I have some Pan F+ at the moment that I will try over the weekend. The XK seems a lot more expensive than the other bodies and I don't feel like bothering with it

KEH has one at the moment but no guarantees that it even functions properly. Frequently they do not. I sent mine to Essex in New Jersey, and got it back, right before Hurricane Sandy hit, and completely put them out of business. I was super lucky!

As far as I know, Essex was the only one I could find to completely strip and fix an XK. Mine was off by five f/stops. It took a couple of months to accomplish and was quite expensive. If I was doing it all over, I wouldn't. But I do love my XK! 😛

I removed the finder screen and cleaned the base of the pentaprism on one of my X-570 and it made a big difference, mostly to contrast, as there was a sort of whitish haze all aver it (lube outgassing?). I used isopropyl alcohol and pec-pads/q-tips. I would not be surprised if a quick check could reveal something similar on your SRT (or worse if it was ever stored without a lens or body cap).

As for other bodies, like everyone said the X-700 and -570 have pretty spectacular finders, though you lose some functionality with that particular lens. Ditto for the capacitor problem. Had them replaced in both of mine by John Titterton. The are extra-small and an unusual shape (like a tiny cheese wheel IIRC).

John has my XE-7 right now. He says he has run out of certain parts.
So we will see.

Mechanical cameras do not have these problems.

The original capacitor was M403 ,220mf,4v. I found one retailer in my country who sell them on 1 dozen only for less then a dollar each. So I get another road - in the firm I work there is a sub-firm producing electronics . Friends there gave me 3 Michicon B0821 PET 220mf,10v . The problem was that it was taller but it fits. Write please why you think your capacitor does not work.
