I like the fit and feel of the camera.
I only have a 90mm lens now... I would like to see how it is with a 40mm or 50mm..
The viewfinder is not as bad as I thought with the 90mm.
I still wanna buy and try a M3 camera. to see how a 90mm looks on it.
The internal meter is a big plus for the CLE... Which I will not get with the Leica M3.

I haven't seen a decent 28mm for sale.. And I see it has spot problems.
I have a canon 28mm/3.5 lens. It is VERY compact.
I just need to get a thread mount adapter for it.
I do have a 40mm in the mail.....

The cle is a great camera and you can upgrade the rokkor lenses with the leica elmarit m 90 f2.8, the leica summicron m 28 f2.0 and the cv 40 f1.5 (I think... but I use the leica lenses and the rokkor 40). Wonderful balance and feel. Congratulations.

Why would the 90mm/2.8 and 28mm/2.0 be upgrades?
These would be bigger lenses??
I have rarely seen faster lenses perform better then the slower primes.
I am looking for a kit with speed.. I already have a SLR for that.

that should mean.. NOT looking for a kit with speed.
Portability is the key

I was also looking at the collapsable 90mm for portability.
This 90mm rokkor does stick out a bit far.

I think "upgrade" referred to speed, if needed/interested. I used my CLE for years with only the 40mm, a great combination. It was only about 18 months ago I got a 28mm Scopar for it, and that's a little sweetie of a lens too! But if you do need more speed, the 28 'cron is very compact for f/2, and the 40 Nokton is surprisingly small too for its speed, and both complement the CLE nicely.
You'll find that your 50mm lens brings up the 40mm framelines, and for the Canon 28 I'd advise you to get the 35/135 adaptor so that only the 28mm frame appears. With a 28/90 adaptor you'll get the 90mm frame appearing in the VF.
Enjoy!

I don't need speed.. I already have fast Minolta glass for my SLR and DSLR
I will have to look for the 35/135 adapter.
If I decide to keep the camera.
The 28mm would be my least used lens.

My preference is to keep the RF kit (CLE/28/40/90) simple.
The SLRs do the ultrawides and long lenses more conveniently but they bulk up pretty fast.
Most of the time it's the CLE with a 40 attached and the 28, filters and film in a pocket. i mean, I bought the thing because it's compact.

I meant "upgrade" to mean increased speed. I am used to the 90 elmarit m and like it with the CLE and its speed makes it a little more versatile than the 90 rokkor. The 28 'cron also slightly increases the versatility of that focal length without costing much in size. I do, however, use the 40 rokkor more than the other lenses and the CLE gets more use than my MP or M7.
