Er Andy, it depends on whether you are more comfortable in Japanese:

or in Dutch:

If you need bits translated I'd be happy to assist.
The camera and manual are pretty straightforward anyway.

Thanks Alec, I downloaded the Dutch version, who knows, I just might understand some of it (the real test of all those yeas of foreign language education
). I bet the illustrations will help.
Rob, I may take you up on your translation offer - thanks a bunch.

Er... Andy, if you can operate a Zorki, you will have no problem with a CLE!

That 1,4V was a typo? The camera needs 3 volts to work...

Nope, no typo, just an "idiot moment" combined with ignorance about the camera.laptoprob said:That 1,4V was a typo? The camera needs 3 volts to work...

Btw, I found a local shop (Kelly Camera in Mesa, Arizona) that said they can fix this. So the CLE is there now, the shop owner took a quick look and sounded very confident that this would be a rather simple fix. (I left the original batteries in it

Thanks for posting this link. He also has a CL manual in english there, so I was able to get it. Not that the CL isn't even simpler than the CLE, but still it's nice to have.
