Sorry to be a bother again. However, I just picked one of these up. Should arrive in a few days. What do you owners and user's of it, think of it? Any oddities or quirks to be aware of?
The Hi-Matic 7s-II goes for a premium as it is small and compact; has full-manual override; and has a fast F1.7 lens. I believe that it is the same lens as on my Hi-Matic E, which I fine a bit sharper than my Canonet QL17. My Hi-Matic 9 that I bought in 1969 after a summer of mowing lawns still operates perfectly and delivers sharp pictures.
Keep taking shots like this one and post them here; THIS IS THE PLACE!
Russ,
Last time I check EBay, these cameras were fetching between $125 and $175, which I consider to be a premium for fixed-lens RF's these days. By comparison, I got my Hi-Matic E for $20. The Hi-Matic 9 and Hi-Matic 7s (original full-size) tend to go for under $25. The compact size, fast lens, manual over-ride and use of modern battery all put the 7s-II in demand. You did quite well.
