Few days ago, I got my new fixed lens rangefinder - 7sII. And I love it! But it's shutter is little awkward to release when shooting from hip. I guess Softie would help a lot with it. I've read about odd threads and non matching Abrahamsons and Luigi softies so I just ordered couple of Yuri's (www.fedka.com). I still think that I'd like dome shaped convex MiniSoftie better. Anyone managed to use it on 7sII? Any other Softies to recommend?

The mini-softie unfortunately won't screw in on my my 7SII. The threads must be different. However, the Yuri softie will.

Thanks Bill. From what I've read in old thread here:

I figured it would. That's why I ordered.

Kevin gave nice explanation why Luigi's and Tom's don't fit in that old thread. So, it looks to me that Yuri's softies are more universal solution. Unfortunately he only has those and doesn't make his own. It looks to me that those he is selling originally come as Ihagee soft release for Exakta?? Check here:

Maybe Tom and Luigi could modify threads on their softies to make them more universal?

The only problem w/ the Yuri version is it sticks up too high for my taste, but it's better than none at all.
