Minolta image pro question

Hi there,I recently bought this camera and it seems to consistently overexpose.Once taken I can then darken the photo using the in camera controls .Do any of you know of a way to either stop the camera overexposing or of a method to fool it into the correct exposure.Any help gratefully recieved as this is now twice as expensive as it should be and this film is not cheap.___________ thanks for looking

If I remember correctly, Minolta image pro is like a Polaroid Spectra...
Such cameras have a light meter window right next to flash, so you can try to apply an nd filter there somehow... Not an easy task, because it will probably will be in the way when closing the camera!
Another way might be of placing a random (small) dots pattern over the sensor window, with paint or masking tape - just be sure to use something reversible!!

That would make it overexpose MORE. Just the opposite of what you want. Maybe there is an exposure compensation control.

Or try putting the ND filter over the taking lens - that would cut down exposure. Maybe you could cut one to fit out of a gelatin filter.

Thanks to you both for your answers.I didnt explain things very well,Im trying to make the image darker so the idea of putting some sort of filter over the lens makes sense.What this camera does is to only allow exposure correction after an image is taken,to correct the exposure and take another photo.Things were much easier with the basic sx70 polaroid and the lighten darken control.The electronics in this one seem to be designed to use more film.Wil post my efforts when ive found a suitable nd filter,thanks again to you both____________

Am going to try a polarizer if I can find a small one.possibly it will be too strong,they add more than a stop I think,dont know what effect it will have on the film either,same as on normal film I suppose.
