Have any of you tried one of the AF Confirm MC/MD Mount to A mount adapters? I have many Minolta AF cameras and many MC and MD mount prime lenses, and I recently saw this adapter available on ebay - but I have no idea if it works acceptably. Curious is any here have tried one, either on an A-mount film or digital body?

Best,

Tom

If it has the glass diopter don't waste your money. They degrade the image quality. Glassless adapters do not allow for infinity focus when using manual focus lens..

M42 mount lenses are the only MF lenses that I'm aware of that work on alpha mount without needing an adapter with glass.

Happy to help.

If I recall the adapter uses a negative diopter in order to get infinity but in the process it degrades the image quality..

I have seen a few manual Rokkors that were converted but you then were unable to use them for the manual bodies since it required altering the register..
