Minolta SR-1 : who's "the best" in USA to service ?

I have a nice 1960 Minolta SR-1 (b) that needs a CLA, and possibly some lens work.


Are there any shops that specialize in early Minolta or recommended service shops ?

Doug Dailey at Camera Clinic, 206-367-2440, in Seattle has done well for me with my SR-1's and SR-7's. There is also a fellow in Colorado who is recommended, but I cannot recall specifics at this momment.

You mentioned that your SR-1b is from 1960. What does the auxiliary light meter attaching block look like? It might be from around 1962. That is when mine was made, and that was the Minolta (Chiyoda Kogaku) designation for it.
